Registration for the PhD course Gender and ICT in healthcare

Available 2021-05-12 – 2021-09-05
Contact person AnnaKarin Kriström, employed at Centrum för genusvetenskap
The course is primarily aimed at doctoral students in e-health, caring science, and medicine, but doctoral students from other disciplines are also welcome. The IT that is treated is IT that healthcare employees use in their professional activities. The course is given in Zoom and extends over six weeks.
During the course, students’ individual work and lectures and seminars are alternated. The course comprises about 10 lectures/seminars including 3-4 guest lectures from researchers outside Sweden. Before the start of the course, the student is expected to read a material that is treated in the first seminar. The course literature as a whole will include about 15 articles common to all. The final assignment will involve further in-depth reading.
Both gender and technology are new areas for the intended target group, which is why the introductory part, literature and lectures start from the basic level. The latter part of the course involves an in-depth study of certain areas, which are then elective for the students before the final assignment.
