On behalf of MIRAI 2.0, Uppsala University would like to invite eligible researchers to apply to participate in the MIRAI 2.0 Research and Innovation Week in Fukouka, Japan, between the dates 15-18 November. The theme of the conference is "Sharing ONE future: Integrative Knowledge and Sustainable Transformation towards a better world”.

The conference will be arranged at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, and gather researchers from all MIRAI universities in Sweden and Japan. University management, research funding agencies and representatives from companies and the public sector are also represented. This is a unique possibility to jointly strengthen collaborations between Sweden and Japan within education, research and innovation.

The programme consists of joint activities and scientific workshops within the thematic areas of MIRAI 2.0: Ageing, Sustainability, Materials science, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, focused on creating new contacts and discuss joint project ideas. The programme will be continuously updated with more details until September: www.mirai.nu/riweek2022/

Selected participants can receive up to 25.000 SEK as a travel grant for participation in the Forum.

It is possible to apply to participate in the Research and Innovation Week with your own funding source, but participation is not guaranteed as there will be an internal selection process to ensure a diversification of participants. The number of participants is also limited to ensure safety considerations due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Please use this form to apply to participate and apply for the travel grant.

The deadline to submit this form is 23:59 on September 15th, 2022.
