This is an invitation to a three-day workshop in introduction to programming with R which will take place in Ekonomikum 14th-16th of January. The purpose of this course is to give practical experience in using the programming language R. This includes the ability to read various types of files, cleaning and transforming data, extract information and visually displaying the data. Further, model statements will be introduced. No previous programming experience with R is required. A certificate of participation in the workshop will be given after its conclusion. Lectures will be given before lunch, and attendants will do practical work with R (with teachers available) after lunch.

After attending the workshop, participants should be able to
• demonstrate basic knowledge about the programming language R
• show basic understanding of algorithms in R
• know how to find information about how different functions in R work
• to read, modify and describe data in R
• to write, interpret and run R code, including functions
• to conduct data visualization using R
• to write model formulas

The workshop is not geared towards any specific group at the university, and applicants will be admitted subject to availability on a first come first served basis. The cost of the workshop is 8,000 SEK per participant and financing of this cost should be cleared prior to register for the workshop. You register by filling out the form below.
