The last application day is 30 April 2026.

The BUP Coordinating Secretariat will get back to the applicants with a decision in the beginning of June.

The suggested project has to be carried out between September 2026 and February 2027.

A short description, a maximum of four A4 pages, of your project plan for cooperation with the host university while staying there as a guest researcher, and if relevant, cooperation also with other partners in the Baltic Sea Region. You must specify how your project is connected to the field of sustainable development and the Baltic Sea Region. - Required

Privacy Notice – Processing of Personal Data by Uppsala University within The Baltic University Programme

Uppsala University, through The Baltic University Programme (BUP), processes the personal data you provide in this form in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:
1. Mobility Grant registration and administration, including communication before and after the selection period.
– Legal basis: Performance of a task in the public interest and performance of a contract
2. Providing information and promoting the Mobility Grant.

3. Subscription to BUP newsletters (only if you actively choose this option).

Providing the requested personal data is necessary in order to apply for the Mobility Grant.
4. Data recipients
Your personal data will be shared with:
• The BUP Scientific Committee for the purposes of furthering the Programmes activities generally and for the purposes of selecting the winner.
• No other third parties will receive or access your personal data unless required by law and following an assessment in accordance with the Swedish Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (Offentlighets- och sekretesslagen 2009:400).
The BUP Scientific Committee act as independent controllers for their respective organisational tasks within the BUP unless otherwise stated.
5. Storage period
• Data processed for event registration and administration will be stored until the the announcement of next year's BUP Mobility Grant, after which it will be erased.
• If you have signed up for BUP’s email newsletters, your email address will be stored until you ask to be removed from the mailing list.
• Information may be retained longer if required for archiving purposes in the public interest as set out in applicable laws including the Swedish Archives Act (Arkivlagen 1990:782).
6. Your rights as a data subject
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
• Request access to your personal data
• Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Request restriction of processing
• Withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal)
